And no amount of natural `evidence' can show that a supernatural God *does* exist.<br /><br />This means that the statement "God exists." or "God is.", is neither verifiable nor falsifiable (to a supernaturalist[1]) and so doesn't have a truth value.<br />These constructs therefore, belong wholly to the realm of myth and can be viewed as metaphorical, symbolic and psychological - make-believe.<br /><br />Of course, if someone *asserts* God's existence, they're lying because they're falsely representing an unverified proposition as truth[2]. And we're taught as children that making baseless assertions is lying.<br /><br />[1] It can trivially be shown that the concept "supernatural" is as coherent as a square-circle.<br />[2] Truth is fact that has been verified.
