Uhhh...again, really bad translation. The word for meat is "basar", and this verse says "ochel". "Ochel" means food.
Meat was a term in early English for all food, including nuts and fruits (the edible part of nuts are still technically called the meat).The "funny" would be if one were to assume this means cannabis, opium, coca, and other plants are gifts from God.
