Response on Immigration

Regarding Arizona’s decision to become a fascist police state, No Guy In The Sky commented (my reply in non-italics):

Really retarded is what I think of your thought process. Have you read anything since third grade?

Sorry, I must have missed “The Turner Diary.”

I am not a racist. I have friends that were illegal. I have friends that are illegal. I could easily turn their whole families lives upside down by reporting them. That is not my job.

But if paid to do so, you would? The only thing keeping you from being a monumental douchebag is laziness? Who says two wrongs can’t make a right...

It is the job of the government to protect its citizens[’] jobs. Which it isn’t doing when it ignores illegal immigrants.

I hate to stop you right there, but economies don’t work by a process of finite jobs that must be defended and set aside for certain people. Employment is reliant upon the operating capital of the private sector, which has shrunk as wealth is consolidated into the hands of a few who merely stash their boon in investment schemes which provide no real productive output.

The only reason to oppose “illegal immigration” is because you don’t like immigrants. Anyone with a cursory understanding of economics knows that an increased pool of cheap labor only solidifies the foundations on which the middle-class rests. Immigrants ought to be given citizenship, pay taxes, and abide by all laws (including those regarding minimum wages, though these may have to be lowered).

So you think schools are free? Sewers? That is all free?
You
[’]r[e] an idiot. We have an immigration policy for a reason. Why do you think it is? You didn’t answer the first time I asked.

Functionalism is bunk, but I agree there is a “reason” for immigration policy, and that reason is racism, a reason dating back to the Immigration Act of 1924, when limits were initially placed on how many people could gain citizenship (it was based on how many people of that background were already here). Prior to this, and according to the intentions of this nation’s founding principles that all are created equal, immigration was completely open, and merely required the filing of paperwork. There were no limits, no lines, no families split by borders, no bureaucratic red tape...

And as I stated earlier, legal citizens pay taxes and help pay for sewers to flush turds like you.

Doors wide open sounds great if you want to completely fuck all working class citizens. Only the hot ones... You are brilliant. Thank you. Since you[’]r[e] talking out of your ass. Please explain how supply(workers) and demand(jobs) works in your situation.

As per economic theory that extends beyond simplistic 101 level supply and demand charts (which are primarily used for the cost of goods, and certainly not applied to complex labor markets), immigration supplies a market with low-cost labor. You know how factories are closing and going to other countries? Instead of going to where the cheap labor is, we can bring the cheap labor to companies here. Having the means of production in your home nation creates economic stability and jobs beyond the low-level grunts. We don’t have “real” Americans lining up to do factory work for minimum wage without benefits, and what you’re suggesting is to force Americans to do so. Limitations on immigration simultaneously lowers the standard of living for Americans and weakens our productive output.

You obviously were dropped on your head when as you said “Your cunt of a mother shit you out!”

I did not use an exclamation point, because using one would have been tacky. It’s like laughing at your own joke. And you left out the part of America’s soil being greasey.

FYI - Dumb Ass! Being against illegal immigration does not make me racist. Your thinking that way shows severe retardation.

You want people to leave your country based on their heritage, but you aren’t racist... I think you’re late for your hood fitting...

Why is America supposed to open the doors?

Because some jackass racists closed them for no good reason

Is the rest of the world open? Australia? Thailand? Russia? China? England? France? Doors open? Nope. Why is that? Research that ya melon head. Heard about passports? Why do we need them? [Confusing repetition of z deleted]

Like I said earlier, if you want to live in Australia, Thailand, Russia, China, England, France, etc., please go for it. You will not be missed.

America should be open to all who wish to reside and work here because that is what made us better than all of those nations you listed. Ignorant dolts like yourself are making a move to Scandinavia seem appealing.

Really. What the fuck is wrong with you?

I can tolerate living near people who are different?

You set that straighter than a conservative Christian priest. Oh wait... I should have used another metaphor.

(Hey, we have to mention religion every once in a while)

  2. Great response, Ginx.

This is one of your best posts ever, and No Brain In The Head is a fucking fascist.

  3. i love the argument from friends with illegal immigrants...that's like the people who are like "I'm not racist, I have a black friend!" lol.

also the economy is heavily dependent on illegal immigration because illegal immigrants pay taxes but do not receive many benefits. Some demographers have estimated that if we did not have illegal immigrants the social security system would have collapsed long ago, but since they pay in (with their faked SS #s) and don't receive out, it is propping up the system. Furthermore, without illegal immigrants our population size would be shrinking, leaving a dearth of working age- people on which children and older age people are reliant (because working age people pay into taxes while the elderly and children do not).

  4. Christians think all atheists are bad and without morals.

Ginx thinks any opposed to illegal immigration is a racists. Nice straw man dummy.

You are exactly like them. Nice one Ginx.

  5. A Eden - Deluding yourself I'm a racist, does not make me one. Wanting immigrants to do it the right way, is not racist. Following the law is not racist. Yes those are my friends.

If you don't like the law change it. Setting up straw men arguments will not win this for you.

Ginx - You are not right. You just an ass.

  6. Actually, disagree. Both of these arguments are pretty solid.

  7. I'm not saying you consciously realize how racist you are, I'm just pointing out what you believe happens to be very racist. It'd be like me saying, "I don't hate black people, I just think they should all be shipped back to Africa." I might believe in my heart I'm not racist... but that would be cognitive dissonance.

Also, opposition to immigration is not wrong because it is racist, it is wrong because it makes no sense. It is an emotional response triggered by irrational fears of job scarcity, loss of cultural identity, and perhaps other nonsense I'm failing to think of at the moment. The very idea of "illegal" immigration is one created out of the false belief that immigration should be stemmed, rather than encouraged.

Yes, I am an ass. You're still racist.

  8. Ginx - Pretending to know me, makes you stupid and an ass. You are wrong. You are wrong for calling me a racist. You are wrong to think adding millions to the work force doesn't effect wages.

I am for protection of our way of life. If we lower our wages to the third worlds standards. How will the majority of people here live? This morning on yahoo there is an article about 20% of men 25-54 are unemployed.

    http://finance.yahoo.com/career-work/article/109471/meet-the-unemployable-man?mod=career-work

Adding more to work force helps those people how? You have not answered that. So all your well thought out banter is just that ... banter.

Just like Christians want to believe, no matter how much science you show them. You will stay ignorant.

I just want what is best for the US, its people and our economy.

I do not fit that. You would be a bigot.

  9. *sigh*

You're right, you're not a racist, you're a nationalist who fails to realize how racist our immigration policy is. You just so happen to support racist policies.

I would never waste banter on you, sir. I succinctly addressed your point:

    - Immigrants provide cheap labor for production, which provides jobs for management, shipping, commodity traders, raw material producers, not to mention all the commerce associated with the everyday consumption of millions of additional people on American soil. You seem to think having a bunch of immigrants around spending money they earned producing goods in our country is a bad thing.

    - Immigration policy is racist because... wait for it... race is a factor when applying for citizenship! I support eliminating the unnecessary restrictions. We should minimize it to simply documenting those who wish to reside in the US.

    - Finally, and this is the main point, you commented on my blog, on a post about a law that allows law enforcement to racially profile people and demand proof of citizenship. You defended it. I called you a racist, and you cried like a whiney bitch about it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ginx - While you are at it. Reread my first comment. I did not support it. I offered my idea. Of how to solve it.

Which now I understand why you attacked me for no reason.

Saying immigration laws are racist because they ask what race. Is like saying the census is racist because it asks the same question. The government keeps track of those things. If the law has a racist selection process, I have never heard of it. My friends that became citizens didn't mention any racism. Unless simple English reading and writing is racist. I helped one study for his test he took and passed.

I know the process asks questions, like are you a criminal(good morals) etc? I think they check this. Health history might be on there also. My memory fails me. That helps all of us.

Doing it the right way, did not stop them from living. It was fill this out and wait. Then show up here, fill something out and wait. They still had lives. Then go in take a test, and since they studied. They were in. Not difficult.

Also you again do not understand how watering down the job pool with under educated workers hurts American under educated workers. I am not saying illegal immigrants don't spend money. I know they do. A supply of workers that is high and small quantity of available jobs = lower wages for all. Simple economics. I am not wrong here. :)

FYI- I don't cry, or whine. Trying to defend ones self from an idiot calling me a racist that does not read the comment before jumping to a conclusion. Yep that would be you also.

My points are made, and I am done. Thanks for the lively something. lol

  11. I really don't care about the arguments for and against "illegal" immigration and how their presense maintains the middle class... blah blah blah

What is stopping these people from going through the proper channels to become "legal" immigrants?

I don't feel sorry for them whatsoever. They place an extra burden on our public schools and typically require additional services for ESL and remedial classes. Many receive OUR government benefits.

Frankly, I'm sick of it. I was underinsured (health insurance) for many years and had to go to county hospitals and clinics. I watched as illegals who couldn't even put a sentence together received FREE medical, dental prenatal. . . and I was turned down because I couldn't pay the sliding scale fee.

    Call me a racist. . . I don't care one iota.

If they are not criminals and they plan to WORK and not be mooches, then what is stopping them from becoming legal???????

BTW. I now live in Highland Park, IL. And yes, the hispanic community of Highwood (right next door)does look like a slum, in huge contrast to the uppity people and property of Highland Park, IL.

  12. Elisha: Your ancestors got on a boat, landed in America, signed a paper, and became citizens. Today, there are inordinate waiting periods, limits on how many people can enter, and several other barriers of entry that did not exist prior to the 1930's. Italian, Polish, German, Dutch, and several other immigrants spoke no English and did not learn English. They lived in slums segregated by culture because, frankly, that was how they could survive.

You are a racist, and I hope you choke to death or slip down some stairs, you ignorant cunt. The world will not mourn you.
