If God existed, yes, he (it, she) would have a lot of explaining to do. God, however, can't even be conceptualized. A true God, however, would be totally objective, and also, complete in itself, without need to create anything, and unable to create a world where pain and suffering is the default.
Therefore, rest assured, God (as thought of by the common man) does not exist; nay, cannot exist!
