Saturday Reflection #52

Ethics is not a science, it is an art. It’s not a science, because you cannot perform experiments to see what decision is more or less ethical. It is an art, because you have to learn through practice where the line should be drawn.

  1. Interesting perspective! I'm inclined to view ethics as a mixture of science and art. Science comes in because there has to be some rigorous intellectal reasoning/analysis to work out what is right and wrong in each given situation.
