Religion all died out last night,
Atheism this morn,
But still, the world is bickering,
And fighting pointless wars.
We can no longer blame the myths
For all our ignorance,
And yet the gaps between us grow;
It makes no god-damned sense!
It really isn’t logical,
But what, then, ever is?
I used to be an atheist,
Now I just sit and spin.
In truth, it isn't myth or religion that drives wars, it's greed.
ReplyDeleteI would have said "economics," but sure, greed is one word for it. Religion just gets some of the more dumb people out on the battlefield, but I suspect they would just as easily do it for "country."
