Unless your name is Noam Chomsky and you call yourself a "libertarian socialist".
There's a reason his primary field is linguistics, not politics.
His contention is that American libertarianism is an aberration, and that libertarian tradition has always been socialist. He may mean that historically European anarchism was on the left, and socialist in orientation.
I understand his position, but it's like saying that the natural state of mankind is to be leaderless and selfless. For someone who also studies psychology, I think he really overestimates the nobility of humanity.
If you want an idea of what the true 'natural state' of mankind is, you need to turn to biology and look at ape social structures. There's always a dominant male somewhere in there. And some of us are more gorilla-like than others, because we get all the chicks.
You're one sick fuck, you fucking sexist supporter of hierarchy. If rape is natural (some have argued it has a biological origin and it's natural for some males to commit rape if that's the only way to spread their genes), does that make rape okay? We don't base right and wrong, or what kind of society we aspire to become, on fucking gorillas, you moron. Why don't you gun-tote yourself to early death and do humanity a favor.
Um... I'm fairly sure he was not advocating that...And technically, some chimp troops are matriarchal (especially if you count bonobos as chimps).
Dude, I'm not advocating anything. But if you want CLUES to explain human behavior, you cannot ignore biology. In "The Third Chimpanzee," Jared Diamond demonstrates how pretty much every single human vice has animal precedents, but neither he or me are advocating justifying return to animal law because of such biological origins.
Your first mistake was trying to explain anything to Nikk. I think any reasonably sane person reading your comment understood you were explaining, not advocating.
If your comment is too long, break it into multiple comments and post them all.
